Why are Guinea & Mali West African goats the best?

Guinea & Mali are semi-tropical paradises  with hot temperatures year round, except for the rainy season, (May to September).  The African climate and environment produces a different skin than anywhere else in the world.   Goats average 24 - 28" in height, and eat a lean diet.  The skins are perfect for drums and produce a sound that is native to Guinea & Mali, the heartland of the Malinke musical culture, where the djembe was born, in the 12th century.  African goat skins are crucial to any djembe.
